Teachers
Mrs. Caroline (pronounced Carolyn) teaches the four and
five-year olds in the Reception Class. (Reception/Year 1)
Mrs. Fialho teaches the six and seven-year-olds in Junior 1. (Year
1/2/3)
Mrs. Thompson teaches the eight and nine-year-olds in Junior 2.
(Year 3/4/5)
Mrs. Robinson teaches the ten and eleven-year-olds in the Senior
Class. (Year 5/6)
17 children in each of the four classes making a small ‘family’
school.
Classes
There are four classes for the different age groups:
-Reception Class 4-6 years
-Junior 1
5-7 years
-Junior 2
7-9 years
-Seniors
9-11 years
Numbers are limited so that pupils may receive individual help and
attention. All lessons are taken in English except Portuguese
classes.
Our Aims
To learn to read fluently and accurately, with understanding and
expression.
To write legibly and neatly, with satisfactory standards of
spelling, syntax, punctuation and usage.
To communicate clearly and confidently, in speech and in writing, in
ways appropriate for various occasions and purposes.

To use mathematical skills with speed and accuracy.
To understand the use of mathematical ideas in various situations,

physical activity, and the ability to function well as a member of a
team.
To develop awareness of self and sensitivity to others, acquire a
set of moral judgements, and to develop habits of self-discipline
and acceptable behaviour.
